Julia's first day at "preschool"

Julia started going to a new day care center this past week. She is in the Panda Bear room which is the young preschool room for children ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 (she's a little on the young side but fits in well and is bigger than most of the kids!). The lead teacher is Miss Suzie. The first few days went great, one of the owners even said that Julia did "abnormally well" on the first day. Halfway through the week though she was pretty overwhelmed and exhausted and it was a little tough to finish the week. She is not used to so much activity and structure! They have a busy and fun schedule and get outside a LOT. We know she will eventually love it there once the transition period is over...which hopefully will be soon because she will soon have another major change in her little life - being a BIG SISTER!!!!

Halloween 2008

This year Julia dressed as Annie for Halloween thanks to Grammy's sewing skills (thank you, Grammy!!!). Julia looked super cute and got lots of compliments!

Weekend with Grammy & Grampa

Kirk's parents came to visit in October and we had a blast spending time with them. Julia amazed them with her growing vocabulary and personality.
We went to Happ-E Hills Farm south of Prescott during their stay. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun. Julia loved seeing all the animals and just being outside in the fresh air.

Meeting Martin Sheen

Kirk and I attended a DFL Fundraiser at Sam Kaplan's house and had the pleasure of meeting Martin Sheen - who was extremely nice! He and I talked about babies!

Baking, Big Girl Bed & Babies

Our first baking experience together - we made my favorite, chocolate chip cookies! And we sure did make a mess! Good thing Daddy wasn't around!

That's my girl!

The finished product...yum!!!
