Julia is Four Months!

Hey everyone! SHE'S GETTING SO BIG!!! Julia is 15 pounds now - she's in the 95th% for height and 90th% for weight. She continues to develop new skills - she can roll over from her belly to back, she prefers to sit now and gets very frustrated if you don't help her, she talks constantly, and her hand/eye coordination is great! She is so much fun - her babbling and squeals just make us smile.

She unfortunately came down with her first flu. To our surprise, she didn't let it bother her. She was smiley and talkative - you'd never know she was sick! She did sleep more than normal - she was actually doing 6-8 hour stretches. That has ended now that she is feeling better (Carrie was hoping that side affect would continue).

Julia has her four month appointment this week - maybe soon she'll start eating solids! That will be an adventure!

The Cats

We've been asked how the cats have adjusted to life with baby. They are doing really well. In fact, one of Hannah's new nicknames is "Momma Cat" because she is very concerned over Julia's well-being. If Julia is crying, Hannah starts pacing and tries to get close to Julia to make her feel better.

Both cats let Julia pet them - it is very cute. Julia has quite a grip but the cats have never snapped at her.

As far as their relationship - Hannah and Sly seem to have accepted that they are no longer the babies and that they need each other for entertainment and attention. We feel bad that they get less of our time but try and play with them when we have time. Soon Julia will be able to play with them - whether they like it or not!

Beauty Sleep

Here's Carrie's favorite video of Julia - taken when she was almost 2 months.

Yummy Frog

Julia caught on tape trying to eat the frog.

Sitting Up

Julia can't quite sit by herself but we are sure that will come soon!
